Belgian Betting Round 19: Clash between Standard Liège and Racing Genk

Each week, BeNeFoot will bring you some interesting bets as the season progresses. Here are our top three picks for this weekend.

KAA Gent – RSC Anderlecht, Draw No Bet 2 @ 1.60 (7/10)

KAA Gent versus Anderlecht used to be a top game in Belgium. This season we can hardly speak about a big game. KAA Gent did a lot of effort the last couple of years to become a top team in Belgium. They managed to built a beautiful stadium but they forgot to invest in their squad. Though, the last games Gent and Mircea Rednic are improving and they have a Play Off 1 spot in their sight. John van den Bom can concentrate on the competition after their Anderlecht’s elimination in the Champions League. The Dutch coach hopes that his talented striker, Aleksandar Mitrovic, found his best form and keeps on scoring. KAA Gent won their last four games but against Anderlecht things could turn out different.

Standard Liège – Racing Genk, Over 2.5 goals @ 1.73 (6/10)

Both teams had to play a game in the Europa League this week. Standard Liège lost at home against Elfsborg and Racing Genk won in Switzerland against FC Thun. Both teams started with some youngsters as they couldn’t win or lose anything anymore, besides money. Michy Batshuayi is keen to show how important he is for Standard Liège and Guy Luzon. The striker had to start on the bench last week as he arrived three minutes too late before the match. Important for Racing Genk, Laszlo Köteles is still injured and Kristof Van Hout will replace him. He had a good game against FC Thun, but he will have to stop more balls this weekend. Over 2.5 goals for me this match!

Waasland-Beveren to score against KV Mechelen @ 1.63 (7/10)

Both KV Mechelen and Waasland-Beveren have had better starts. Waasland-Beveren are in bad papers and difficult days await KV Mechelen if they lose this weekend. Bob Peeters and his Waasland-Beveren weakest point so far is finding the back of the net. This is a key match for Bob Peeters and his men. A loss means that Play Off 3 would be inevitable for the club. Waasland-Beveren will do everything to win this match and to be honest, they have a chance against this KV Mechelen. I’ve kept it safe and I’ve only put money on Waasland-Beveren to score @ 1.63, what’s a pretty decent odd. Yes, even for Waasland-Beveren.
