Betting on the Jupiler Pro League 2013-2014

Each week, Benefoot will bring you some interesting bets as the season progresses. Here’s our top three picks for this weekend.

Lierse SK to score against KAA Gent: YES @ 1.62 (6,5/10)

KAA Gent lost last week against Anderlecht with 4-1. They started well against the champions but went shellshocked after going a goal down. Club captain Yassine El Ghanassy played very poorly and was very frustrated when his coach substituted him in the beginning of the second half. KAA Gent coach Víctor Fernández also has to change some things as he saw his best player move to Racing Genk. Striker Petit Ilombe Mboyo was a key player in his tactics. On paper KAA Gent has quite a strong defence but as a team they still have a lot of work to do. In three matches Lierse only scored two goals but strikers Dolly Menga and Kostadin Hazurov are keen to prove their coach Stanley Menzo wrong as he wants to strengthen his front line.

Sporting Charleroi – KV Kortrijk OVER 2.5 goals @ 2.00 (6/10)

KV Kortrijk last season had a low percentage of scoring over 2.5 goals per match. This season things have changed as Hein Vanhaezebrouck has two strikers in his team who are capable of scoring bucketfuls. Last season the coach of Kortrijk only had Pablo Chavarria who was only useful in counter-attack mode. Sporting Charleroi is always a team who wants to score and with strikers as David Pollet and Giuseppe Rossini, they have some quality up front. This will not be necessary an Over 2.5 goals match but at these odds it is a very good bet.

Zulte Waregem wins at Mons @ 1.62 (7/10)

Mons, the club of coach Enzo Scifo, started terribly this season. They only have one point after three matches in the Jupiler Pro League. Zulte Waregem is not the same team as it was last season. Essevee had some external problems but things should cool down in the next weeks as CEO Patrick Decuyper has resigned. Zulte Waregem started their season very well with seven out of nine points. Thorgan Hazard, Mbaye Leye and Junior Malanda still need to improve if they want to repeat last season’s but things look good so far. A win at home against this Mons side should not be a problem for Francky Dury and his team.
